In the Autumn we installed a new exterior rack in our Stockport branch yard. This has had two benefits, it has enable us to increase our stocks through increased storage and it has improved the amount of space available for parking.
Here at Illingworth Ingham Joinery and Timber we have a great team of friendly staff. If you need any advice or have a question our team have extensive knowledge and are always happy to help. Whether its about matching a skirting board or which is the best door you only need ask and our knowledgeable team will have the answer.
We also like to do our bit to help the local community. Over the past year Phil Hindley raised an impressive £1,400 for the McMillan cancer charity by going tea total for a month. It all started with a challenge from the regulars at his local pub. Phil, who works on our counter and door sales, choose McMillan as it was a charity that another member of his local was already supporting.
Earlier in the year Bob Graham, Branch Manager raised over £1,400 for Christies. Amazingly Bob hadn’t done any running in over 10 years, but successfully completed the Manchester 10K. His journey started with the purchase of a running machine in January and progressed from there.
Bob chose Christies as he has family, friends and customers who have all benefitted from their help.
Bob’s fundraising activities didn’t end there, When he heard that a friend and former colleague at the Stockport branch was diagnosed with terminal cancer he wanted to help. So he and other friends organised a fundraising night for his friend’s family which raised £1,350.
Both Bob and Phil would like to thank all customers who kindly made donations. We will keep you posted about any other fundraising activities we get involved in this year.
